Call of Duty: Vanguard was released on November 5th of this year and it’s player based has already been sky rocketing since it’s released date. This game takes place during World War II, it also features battle on four fronts. The Western, Eastern, the Pacific, and North Africa front. This game in combatable for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox ONE, Xbox Series X/S.
Battlefield 2042 was released on November 19th of this year quite close to their competitors Activision who released Call of Duty: Vanguard on the 5th of the same month. Both of these companies have always had some part of the FPS community choosing sides as they both give different experiences in their games. In this game DICE brought their massive maps they are known for, while also bringing knew mechanics to the game. Players now have agents who all have different features and items they can use. They also implemented a mechanic allowing players to modify their weapons on the go for the perfect scenarios, need to enter a building five yourself the perfect sight for close quarter combat, see an enemy who is further away give your weapon a long barrel and a 2x scope and you’ll be able to snipe at them.
Xbox released Halo Infinite on November 8th this year, this is another game splitting the FPS community especially since this game is able to be played on PC. Can’t forget to say that multiplayer is free, which you can expect to be drawing in a lot of people like myself who primarily only play on their desktops. They released with a battle bass which gives players a variety of choices to customize their Spartans from the color of their suits to the different aspects of their suits. They also have a free event called the Fracture Tenrai that is currently happening all you have to do is complete certain weekly missions with a orange star to progress in it and you’ll be able to unlock a Spartan who’s armor is inspired by the historical warriors called the Samurai.
Valorant is Riots first FPS game which was released in June 2 of 2020. This game is free to play and brings various gun customization with their battle passes and store that refreshes daily with new skins. They also do skin bundle that you can buy cheaper then buying the guns individually, but once their gone they are gone for good. The only way to buy the skin is hope it appears in your daily store. They allow players to choose from a selection of agents who all have different abilities allowing players to play to their playstyle.
Far Cry 6 was released on October 7th of this year and it’s drawing in new players and especially players who are a big fans of this series. In this installment of the game it takes place in Throes of revolutions in a country that is inspired by Cuba. It’s an action adventure first person shooter with it’s massive open world aspects giving players freedom to explore the entire map freely.
